Intimate Brooklyn Bar Wedding on Film

The day started in the cozy apartment that Lisa and Jacob shared in Queens. It was a full-on group effort — laughter and excitement filled the apartment as they carefully crafted their bouquets and got themselves ready. There was something so special about the calm before the storm of festivities. Music blared through the speakers, and everyone sang along while adding the final touches to their outfits. The wedding wasn’t just about Lisa and Jacob; it was about their tight-knit circle of friends who made this day even more memorable.

We made our way to the Brooklyn Bridge for portraits. The iconic bridge served as the perfect backdrop for some beautiful shots with loved ones.

The ceremony at Deux Chats, an art nouveau bar and restaurant reminiscent of a French brasserie, was intimate and full of personal touches, from the Dungeons and Dragons references in their vows, to their friends performing the music to their first dance. The champagne flowed as the party kicked off, with small bites passed around throughout the entire night, with the DJ keeping everyone on the dance floor until the very end. Every detail of the day was thoughtfully curated, from the hand passed apps, to the cannoli and sfogliatelle from Ferrara, the bakery that Lisa's grandparents lived above when the immigrated to America.

The party didn’t stop there. Leading the group down the block, Lisa and Jacob took everyone to an underground taco bar — a hidden gem that served up delicious late-night tacos. But the biggest surprise of the night? Lisa’s gift to Jacob: a performance by his two favorite drag queens.
